Vera Pelin is a pianist, teacher, and piano accompanist residing in Lisle, IL. Her musical journey began at the "Eugen Doga" music school in Chisinau, Moldova, where she discovered her passion for piano. Guided by the esteemed piano teacher Irina Bogataia, Vera continued her education at the "Stefan Neaga" vocational music school, honing her skills and delving deeper into the world of music.
During her time in Moldova, Vera actively participated in national and international competitions, festivals, and recitals, showcasing her talent and artistry. In 2010, during her final year of vocational music school training, Vera embarked on her teaching and performing career, taking on the role of a piano teacher and musical accompanist at the "Ion Creanga" Lyceum.
In recognition of her remarkable abilities, Vera was awarded a scholarship at the National University of Music in Bucharest, Romania in 2011. There, she immersed herself in the study of piano performance, dedicatedly refining her skills and nurturing her musicality. As a result, she proudly holds a B.A. in piano performance. Additionally, she successfully completed the music pedagogy curriculum, further enhancing her teaching abilities.
Presently, Vera shares her passion for music as a piano teacher at the Naperville Music Academy, where she inspires and guides aspiring musicians on their own musical journeys. She is an active member of the Illinois State Music Teacher Association, continuously expanding her knowledge and staying connected with the vibrant music community. In addition, Vera also serves as the 1st vice-president for programs within the Naperville Music Teachers Association, organizing enriching programs and events for both students and fellow educators.
Furthermore, Vera's piano skills are showcased beyond the classroom as she serves as a pianist and musical accompanist at the DuPage Unitarian Universalist Church in Naperville, IL. Her ability to sensitively and skillfully support various musical endeavors adds a layer of depth and beauty to the church's musical performances.
